My other home away from home.

Credits to Portland Ground: A Photographic Landscape of Urban Oregon
Exactly two years ago today, I embarked on a journey to self-discovery. To a new place, a new environment, and of all places somewhere I've never heard of. Portland, Oregon. I was only there for 6 months, because I couldn't handle living on my own. I wasn't ready. So, I packed my bags and caught the next flight back to Milwaukee. But Portland gave me something I didn't have before. It was my other home away from home. And now, I miss it. Maybe when I'm ready to finally be on my own, I will consider it as one of the places I'd like to live in besides New York City. Because as much as I consider Wisconsin my home, I don't want to live here forever.Labels: beaverton, max rail, oregon, pioneer square, portland
